My BHLDN moodboard
I had a bit of fun putting together this moodboard from BHLDN, the wedding line from Anthropologie. They have a moodboard creator, if you want to create your own. I had trouble picking and choosing what went into the moodboard, because everything is so gorgeous. I ended up selecting all the styles I love… whimsical, romantic and blue!
Anyway I hope you are all staying cool from the scorching hot weather these days.
Have yourself a great weekend!
Etsy finds: Cute, coupley and customizable
Is it me or is everyone getting engaged left, right and center? With so much talk about weddings, honeymoons and everything in between, I couldn’t help but take a gander at what new goodies I could find on Etsy. I definitely found some awesome stuff. Everything is customizable, as per the usual Etsy finds, which make them even more fun. Enjoy!

Over-and-above tips to get through the last month of wedding planning
Your seating chart is done, honeymoon is booked and you’re ready to say, “I do!” Now what? The month before your wedding is a crucial time to get all the final details together that will ultimately determine the success of your wedding day execution. The first few months of your planning were to book all your major components and vendors. That’s the easy part! Now it’s time to fine tune all the intricate details of your day.
Over prepare
By now, you should have your contracts signed and soon all your RSVP’s will have come in. I like to create spreadsheets and lists for everything and print out a few copies of all so that your coordinator and helpers will have them on hand. Duplicates will come in handy to give to helpers, vendors and others involved.
First things first, you will need a detailed rundown of ceremony and reception. The rundown columns should include: time, location, who is in charge and involved, and what the task/activity is. Also useful in your rundown will be arrival times for vendor deliveries – when your centerpieces are arriving, when your cake is arriving, etc. If you are giving the rundown to AV people (which you should) include what music will be playing at what time, so they know when to cue the music.
Once your rundown is complete and final (wait until the last week since it often changes), print many copies of it and give to everyone involved – wedding coordinator, catering manager, photographer, MC, helpers, etc.
Other things to print out 2-3 copies of: Room setup and layout, contact information for all involved (name, role, phone number), contact information of all vendors, permits, all vendor contracts, special instructions for anything (how you want centerpieces or guestbook laid out, etc). Make sure you are overly prepared and have everything you might need on hand.
Over communicate
Once you have the initial schedule done, you will need to communicate this to those involved to give them an idea of what is happening. Helpers, family and vendors will especially want to know when they are expected to arrive, how long they are to be there and if there are refreshments or meals provided. This also applies to the rehearsal; make sure to communicate all details to all parties. As a couple, you are bringing together many different people on your wedding day, most of whom do not know each other, have never worked together and do not know what to expect; they will appreciate more details than less.
Over sleep
This one might not seem so obvious, but in the last few weeks before your wedding, you will want to make sure you get the rest you need. Not only is it for your beautiful wedding day photographs, but for your sanity. Make sure to ask for help when you need it and take time out of your schedule to relax. It will do you and your partner wonders to not be stressed and anxious in the busy weeks of planning.
Over appreciate
As you are busy assigning tasks and getting things in order, don’t forget to appreciate those who are helping to make your wedding day happen. If you have not gotten any gifts for them, this is a great time to do so and to make them personal. The earlier you plan and wrap them up the better, as it is easy to forget to make time for this closer to wedding day chaos. If your vendors have gone over and above expectation, a small token of appreciation will go a long way to reaffirm that it is worth it for them to serve their clients in that manner.
If you are in your last month of your wedding… congrats! You are almost there. Just remember these tips and you should be well on your way to wedding bliss.
