I kick off this week with a beautifully modern wedding at Malaparte, an event space on the 6th floor of the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. The ceremony was held on the beautiful terrace and ended there as well, with guests surrounding them with sparklers for their first dance.
The bride embellished her day with her love of pink peonies and added whimsical touches with her balloon and cake toppers. It was such a beautiful wedding! Congrats to Jess and Ed for getting hitched and thank you to Olive Studios for the gorgeous captures. It was such a pleasure to coordinate this special occasion!

It’s been quite a few weeks for me, as the wedding planner got hitched (yup, I’m a Mrs now!). But work doesn’t stop for your own personal celebrations… I had a wedding the following Saturday after mine at Malaparte and I have one this weekend too! It’s been a busy May to say the least, but I’m back in the swing of things, with a sneak peak from a modern wedding at Malaparte this past weekend.
For those that are not familiar, Malaparte is an event space by Oliver & Bonacini, located on the 6th floor of the TIFF Bell Lightbox. It has a beautiful tented terrace for ceremony and cocktail hour, and an even more gorgeous interior space for dinner. Lisa’s team from Sweet Woodruff filled the space with beautiful pink peonies. It made such a difference! Here’s a sneak peak from the wedding.

The crazy snow we’ve been experiencing makes me miss my time in Jamaica when I helped coordinate a romantic Jamaica destination wedding for close friends. It was a gorgeous setting by the water with 70 of their nearest and dearest. Laid back, intimate and very beautiful. It’s always extra special when you know the bride and groom, and are there to witness and be a part of their nuptials. SWS helped film the wedding video that captured the day’s romance.

I get so excited when I receive photos from a photographer of a wedding I have coordinated (they take so long sometimes!). I was excited because this wedding had so many fun details, from the favours to the menu card. It was a movie-themed wedding at the Eglinton Grand! The couple’s love for movies was infused in the reception and guests had so much fun.
We realized a couple days before the wedding that there might be rain, so their park permit for photos would be useless. Since I live in the area, I knew a number of great cafes and small shops that would kill for promotion like a bridal party shoot. Of the list that I gave the couple, they chose Butter Avenue, the bride’s favourite macaron shop. The photos turned out so fabulous. Rain couldn’t hold this couple back from an awesome wedding!
