If you’re planning your wedding and happen to have a sweet tooth, this post is for you! I’m a sweets person myself, and love dreaming up sweet ideas for my wedding clients. Below I have some fun ideas from our friends at Sweet Sammies to add some extra sweetness to your celebration, whether as a favour or as a custom dessert. Read on for some sweet treat ideas for your wedding. Mmm mm!

Before you fall in love with any of these ideas, make sure to check with your venue first to see if they allow you to bring in some dessert, to serve alongside a sweets station. These can also be perfect to giveaway at the end of a church ceremony in the summer, as guests head out to the park for photos.

Who does not love an ice cream sandwich? And what about a MINI ice cream sandwich? Everything is better when it is mini. These mini sammies are both cute and super delish. With an extensive list of flavours, there is something for every taste!

Sweet ideas: Mini ice cream macaron sandwiches. More ideas at Rebecca Chan Weddings and Events - www.rebeccachan.ca

This past holiday season, Sweet Sammies offered a special macaron ice cream sandwich. If served at the right temperature (just slightly thawed), they make for a nice chewy and sweet treat. The meringue makes for such a nice compliment to the soft ice cream. I can’t think of any better combo than that of macarons and ice cream!

Sweet ideas: Fruit pops. Beautiful and delicious. More ideas at Rebecca Chan Weddings and Events - www.rebeccachan.ca

Their ice pops are equally beautifully and delicious, available in an array of colours and flavours. I’d love one of these on a hot, summer day after a ceremony or during cocktail hour on a patio. They also would make for fun photos! Check out how we used these ice pops in a photoshoot here.

Sweet ideas: Ice cream truck. More ideas at Rebecca Chan Weddings and Events - www.rebeccachan.ca

If you are interested in more of an experience for your guests, you can also rent their interactive ice cream truck, to serve your ice pops or ice cream sandwiches live with a server.

Whether you indulge your guests with takeaway sweets or a dessert during the reception, make sure to include something special to thank your guests for coming to celebrate with you. Now, who’s hungry?
